Buying a house in France should be a relatively painless affair, just be prepared to wait a few months. Nothing happens very quickly here.
The first visit to the Notaire to sign the Compromis has passed, and now I’m awaiting the guys to come check my land boundaries. This isn’t always the case, but I wanted to insist that all was in order before the house sale finally completes possibly in March or April this year.
