I think I’m taking this archive business too seriously and need to take stock!
I’m trying to find clues as to the original owner and their family, but along the way I’m having some laughs at least.
Bedtime reading this evening…..
Its really a series of short stories about being born, getting married and death.
This one goes like this:
In the year 1773 on the 23rd October
the body of Raimond Rainaud, a beggar older than 80 years
old, and coming from montreal in this diocese, died suddenly from a
fall, one hour after midnight, has been buried in the cemetery
in this parish by myself the curate signed in the presence of Bernard
Fabre and pierre Belaut, both illiterate.
